Description / Details:
Grades K and up. Europe's 2003 game of the year! Develops logic and spacial perception while kids learn to be tactical. Players take turns placing pieces on their board, each starting from their corner. Each new piece must touch at least one other piece of the same color, but only at the corners! The goal is to get rid of all your pieces. The game ends when all players are blocked from laying down any more of their pieces. Includes one gameboard with 400 squares, 84 game pieces in four bright translucent colors, and an instruction guide.

Comment reviews: My son received this game as a gift when he was 6 years old, and it still is his favorite game 2 years later. He will actually play against himself to figure out new strategies. My son has played so much at this point that it is impossible to beat him. The game has very clear instructions and it doesn't take long at all to learn how to play. you can play with 2 - 4 players, with more players making it more interesting. The object of the game is to use up as many of your pieces as possible while at the same time blocking your opponents. The pieces are all different shapes which I learned quickly can become challenging. The great thing about this game is that because of the shapes of the pieces it really is different every time you play.

Comment reviews: My 6 year old grandson plays this in school and loves it so much he asked for it for CHRISTMAS. So I bought one for each family that has young kids. Anything that brings a family together, and is educational is is #1 in my book.

Comment reviews: Blokus is a very fun strategy game. My husband and I as well as our 15 yr old and 6 yr old all enjoy this game. It is easy enough to play for all, but is very challenging at the same time. This is a great pick for family game night and I think it makes a perfect holiday gift for those hard to buy for friends and family members.
